St. Louis, Wednesday, March 10, 2010 – The American Red Cross today announced it is allocating an additional $24.4 million for Haiti earthquake relief and recovery, increasing its total commitment to date to $106.4 million.

St. Louis, Tuesday, March 9, 2010 – The American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter dispatched a Disaster Action Team on Monday night to a fire in the 2100 block of Russell in St. Louis, MO. The Red Cross is assisting two families, providing shelter for six adults and two children. The Red Cross will continue to evaluate the immediate emergency needs of these clients, and is ready to provide additional support.

St. Louis, Friday, February 26, 2010 – The American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter has worked since Thursday morning to evaluate the needs of the families impacted by a fire at the Northwest Airport Inn, 3500 block of North Lindbergh. The Red Cross is providing help for two families, whose living spaces were directly impacted by the fire. The Red Cross is supplying food, clothes, coats and shoes for five adults and two children. Additionally, the Red Cross is working closely with the other families impacted by smoke damage, providing community referrals for food and clothing.
