Volunteer Minimize

Volunteers are the heart of the American Red Cross and we'd like you to join us. We depend on over 1.4 million volunteers nationwide and hundreds in the St. Louis area to carry out our mission as the world's leading humanitarian relief agency. Throughout all our programs, the Red Cross and our volunteers touch the St. Louis area community over 400,000 times each year.

As a Red Cross volunteer, you can serve meals to disaster victims, or help out at a blood drive. You can teach CPR, or help soldiers arrange trips home for the birth of their children. Most of all, Red Cross volunteers help save lives... and what could be more fulfilling than that?

Getting Started
If you are interested in becoming a Red Cross volunteer, the first step is to complete an online volunteer application form.

After your application is reviewed, our Volunteer Resources staff will schedule an interview and screening with you to discuss your interests and availability. We will also require you to attend a one-hour orientation on the American Red Cross and our Mission, consent to a background check, and particpate in training in the service in which you'll be working.

Once your area of service has been determined, we will continue to work with you to identify additional training and growth opportunities.

Red Cross volunteers are among the most important people in our community. Join our team and help us help others!
